Validation

INSTRUCTIONS
After checkout, you will receive the instructions how to upload your resources to our validation portal. Below is an overview of the RTO Collective validation process:
 
STEP 1: Our validators will validate your resources against the Principles of Assessment and Rules of Evidence. We will then send the initial findings to you for your trainers to review. 
 
STEP 2: Your trainers will review the report, verifying the validation findings and rectification recommendations to ensure they are in line with relevant industry requirements and contexts.
 
STEP 3: Your trainers will document their feedback in the SME section of the report which covers the review on the industry relevance of the assessment activities and rectification recommendations. This finalises the validation report.
 
STEP 4: Your RTO may issue PD certificates for trainers who participate the in the validation review and in the completion of the final validation report.

IMPORTANT
The Standards require that validations are completed by an individual or a group of individuals who collectively hold:
vocational competencies and current industry skills relevant to the assessment being validated
current knowledge and skills in vocational teaching and learning
the training and assessment credential specified in the Standards for RTOs 2015
 
Our validators hold the required training and assessment credential (requirement 3) and will have current knowledge and skills in vocational teaching and learning (requirement 2). However, our validators may not have the vocational competencies and current industry skills relevant to the assessment being validated (requirement 1). As such, it is important that your trainers, who meet requirement (1) review and sign off (or update as needed) the initial validation findings we provide you. 
 
Unless otherwise agreed upon, the initial validation findings will be emailed to you within 5 business days from the upload date.
